3. Eat more fruits and vegetables

Bear in mind that fresh fruits and vegetables are generally healthier than their canned and frozen counterparts.
4. Exercise at least three times a week
The average adult should exercise for at least 150 minutes a week. Take this as an opportunity to find a fun activity that you can do with the whole family like walking, swimming or simply playing games outside on a regular basis. That way, you can bond with the family while getting some exercise.
5. Sleep 6 – 8 hours a day
Sleep is important because it allows the body to repair itself and getting enough rest may also help prevent excess weight gain, heart disease and decrease the duration of illness.
